Roadway Projects
• An Environmental Assessment (EA) will be required
• Engineer reviewing existing pipelines and proposed Cowart’s Creek bridges
• Scheduling Design Concept Conference meeting
Pearland Parkway
• Schematic drawings started in early April • Design phase work in full progress
• Completed 60% plan submittal to TxDOT May 18th • 60% project manual submitted May 29th
• Completed 90% plans May 30th and conducted in house plan review the same day
• Submitted 90% plans Tuesday, June 5th • Conducted plan and project manual review week of June
4th Performing power pole survey and measurement to submit attachment permit application to attach fiber optic backbone from east City limits to west City limits
• 100% Submittal – Due June 18th
ITS Project
• Max Road & Fite Road – Awaiting comments on the Request for Qualifications
(RFQ) from TxDOT – RFQ will be advertised as soon as TxDOT approves
TIP Projects Update
• 2013-2016 TIP Funding Years • Eligible Projects
– In the 2035 RTP – Air Quality Conformity Year must be 2019 or earlier – Be able to meet the ‘readiness’ schedule for the funding
year • Project sponsors required to ‘Self Evaluate’
projects • Staff evaluated all Pearland projects that are in the
2035 RTP for AQ Conformity and Readiness

• Held additional meeting with TxDOT to discuss • Work will be done under a permit • No additional environmental clearance needed • Will need to extend railroad panels • Coordinating with BNSF to address roughness of
the crossing

• Held monthly progress meeting • Survey work ongoing • Design underway for segments where survey is
complete
