"Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming." There are three things in my life which I really love: God, my family and baseball. The only problem- once baseball season starts, I change the order around a bit. Al Gallagher, 1971 Ryan , May the wind always be at your back. Gods speed". Our love, Poppie and Grammy MacGinnis Ryan....I am so proud of your dedication & strength both on & off the field. You add so much joy to my life. I will always be one of your greatest fans! Poppa would be so proud of what you have accomplished! I love you a whole bunch, Grandma 3. 2012 VARSITY Roster2012 VARSITY ROSTER No. Name Position Height Weight 2 RileyBrown OF 62 175 3 TimRichards SS 60 180 5 TylerVaughn OF 61 175 6 LoganIshimine OF 510 155 8 BrettHarper CF 610 180 9 MattHeavin 2B 60 175 10 MattMaccarrone C 58 165 11 ErikEkman 3B 59 147 12 JakeReinhardt 2B 511 165 17 BrittBarmeyer OF 60 185 18 LoganBurns SS/INF 59 145 20 CodyElder P 510 195 21 RyanEmma 1B/RHP 61 200 22 MichaelZidek 3B 62 170 23 MichaelSemonsen P 61 175 24 KyleSalaya P 62 175 25 SchuylerHill P 61 170 28 SeanWilliams 1B 511 200 34 ChaseDeJong RHP/OF 64 195 35 ChrisBetts C 61 200 2012 VARSITY Schedule 25-Feb Saturday 1:00PM CoronaHS CoronaHS 1-Mar Thursday 3:00PM LaMirada WHS 3-Mar Saturday 11:00AM MiraCosta MiraCosta 6-Mar Tuesday 3:00PM Tustin WHS 8-Mar Thursday 3:00PM ElModena BrookhurstPark 10-Mar Saturday 2:00PM Edison WHS 14-Mar Wednesday 4:00PM SantaMonica WHS 14-Mar Wednesday 7:00PM SantaMonica Blair 20-Mar Tuesday 3:15PM CabrilloHS Cabrillo 21-Mar Wednesday 7:00PM Millikan Blair 23-Mar Friday 3:15PM ComptonHS WHS 24-Mar Saturday 7:00PM OaksChristianHS RedondoHS 28-Mar Wednesday 3:15PM Jordan WHS 30-Mar Friday 6:30PM Lakewood Blair 31-Mar Saturday 10:00AM Murrietta ElModenaHS 2-Apr Monday 3:00PM MarinaHS MarinaHS 3-Apr Tuesday 6:00PM ElModena HartPark 4-Apr Wednesday 3:30PM SantaMargaritaHS ElModenaHS 17-Apr Tuesday 6:30PM Poly Blair 20-Apr Friday 3:15PM CabrilloHS WHS 21-Apr Saturday 11:00AM NewburyPark WHS 24-Apr Tuesday 3:15PM ComptonHS ComptonHS 26-Apr Thursday 3:00PM LaMiradaHS WHS 28-Apr Saturday 2:00PM WestTorrance WestTorrance 2-May Wednesday 6:30PM Lakewood Blair 4-May Friday 3:15PM Millikan WHS 5-May Saturday 11:00AM SantaMonicaHS SantaMonicaHS 8-May Tuesday 7:00PM Jordan Blair 10-May Thursday 6:30 Poly Blair 4. Media Guide Design by Ryan Fox - RFGD MEDIA - www.rfgraphicdesignmedia.comVisit Wilson Baseball @ www.lbwilsonbaseball.org Andy became Varsity Coach of the Long Beach Wilson High School Bruins for the 2001 season. Since then, the Bruins have been consistently competitive in the Moore League and the CIF level. The Bruins qualified for the playoffs in all but one of the seasons under Coach Halls leadership. Additionally, they were Moore League Champions and/or Co-Champions in 2003, 2005 and 2007 seasons. The Bruins advanced to the CIF Title Game in 2004, 2007 and again in 2008. The 2007 Wilson Bruins won the CIF Southern Section Division I Championship. The Bruins were later named Baseball-America National Champions, as well as Student Sports California State Champions. The 2007 season record of 32-3 set a school and a Moore League record to wins in a single baseball season. Andy has been named Press-Telegrams Dream Team Coach of the Year three times and CIF Coach of the Year once. In 18 full seasons as a varsity coach, Hall has amassed a 313-186-5 mark (.627). In addition to baseball, Coach Hall has coached football at the high school level for the past 20 years. During his tenure as a football coach, his 1993 Frosh-Soph team at Saint Anthony is one of his favorite memories. That a team posted an undefeated 10-0 record and the entire season was one that Andy counts as quite defining for himself as a coach. Having the opportunity to mold the team the way we did that year made me realize that I had something to offer to this profession. Andy is thankful to his parents Jerry and Patricia Hall for the opportunity to become the person that he is today. My mom always wanted us (my older brother Matt and I) to do what we want with our adult lives. She taught us that getting a college education would open a lot of doors for us, and it has. My dad always said, It matters less what you make in a paycheck each month and more about how you feel about going to work each day. Other individuals and coaches that Hall believes were instrumental in his development as a coach go back as far as Little League and high school. They include Jerry Hall, my first coach and teacher; Leo Hand, Steve Capic, Ed Carberry and Larry Randall, my high school coaches; Frenchy Guesno and John Rambo, my American Legion and Connie Mack coaches; Bob Wuestoff, John Gonzalves, Dave Snow, Mike Weathers, Randy Sandfur, Dr. Jack Rose and R. Tom Morgan my Long Beach State teachers of baseball and great men of teaching. Head Coach Andy Hall 2012 marks Coach Andy Halls 22 nd Season as a head varsity baseball coach. Coach Hall began coaching baseball in 1987 as a Junior Varsity Assistant at St. Anthony High School. He was named Head Varsity Coach of the Saints for the 1991 season. In his 10 seasons with the Saints, Andys teams won 137 games, 2 Camino Real League Championships and had 9 CIF playoff appearances, including one CIF Division 5 Championship Game in 1994. 5.
