Yo u may own a restaurant, a retail business, or a service-related business such as a salon or auto repair business. Yo u may have an oce and be a dentist, chiropractor or lawyer. Tere are many types o bu sinesses that need representation to get their name and what they have to ofer out to the general public so that their busi- ness can grow and thrive in the existing economy. Tis is why I use the word investment. We have had readers over the years tell us that they look orward to each issue. Tey will pick it up and keep it by the phone because there may be businesses that are advertising where they may not need their services now, but they want to keep it on hand in case they need them in the uture . Having a mar- keting plan and investing in advertising will help to ensure that your name will be remembered not only now but also in the uture. Tings to look or when choosing your methods o advertising are the quality o the publication, the distribution areas, the quantity o publications being printed and the advertising cost. It is good to choose a publication that distributes to the areas you wish to reach but even better i the rates ofer you the abil- ity to do so at an afordable cost. Tis enables you to continue advertising or a longer period o time and ensures your ability to keep your name where it can be seen and noticed by uture customers.
