40 high school AVID Programs signed up

4,000 AVID students registered

2,500 AVID students completed one test

12 hrs – Average study time per student

230 students shared SAT/ACT results

2010-11 ePrep Advantage Pilot

The Pilot: We offered ePrep at no charge to AVID teachers who agreed to

include the course in their curriculum and to share official test results.

Goals of the Program – In a partnership with AVID teachers we set out to:

- Help all AVID students raise their test scores

- Create a level playing field, making test prep affordable for all AVID students

- Identify best practices for delivering ePrep in the classroom

Goals of the Program –

- Demonstrate the power of immediate access to student progress, available in the ePrep Teacher Admin. Console.

- As a result of AVID students success, expand the use of ePrep in high schools across the country.

ePrep Advantage Pilot Results - June 2011:

160 of the 800+ AVID juniors participating reported their Official SAT results:

50 students, 31% scored 1500 or better

47 students, 29% scored 500 or higher on Reading

75 students, 47% scored 500 or higher on Math

37 students, 26% scored 500 or higher on Writing (18 did not take ePrep Writing) *

131 or 81% scored higher on their Official SAT than on their practice SAT

Survey Results:

22 of the 40 AVID teachers actively using ePrep responded to our survey:

- On a scale of 1-10, 22 gave ePrep an “8” or better for effectiveness in helping students raise their scores.

- 70% have a plan to purchase ePrep for Fall 2011.

- Kick off the ePrep course by watching and discussing the Strategy videos with your students.

- Simulate test conditions so students achieve practice scores that will more closely reflect their performance.
