Conclusions
The barrier property of flat packaging material is only one factor to create a “perfect” package to reach required product shelf life
Production of the package might influence the barrier a lot
It is always worth to have a closer look into the barrier property of the complete package
There is not one standard measurement for packages, but there are possibilities to reach a higher reproducibility and reliability
Flat material shows the barrier performance of the packaging material at its best, but during packaging, materials are not always handled in the best possible way
