NARCIS.nl: the gateway to online scholarly information NARCIS.nl is the national portal for anyone looking for information about researchers and their work in the Netherlands. Besides researchers and policy makers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and education, government and business professionals. NARCIS (National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System) offers you access to the huge collection of the publication repositories of the Dutch universities, the Dutch Academy KNAW, research funding organisation NWO, universities of applied sciences, and a large number of research institutes, supplemented by research data from several data archives and descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes. Personal information in NARCIS Are you trying to find a researcher in a specific discipline? In NARCIS you will not have trouble finding the right person. A personal profile page offers the researcher’s contact details as well as an overview of research projects, (open access) publications and datasets. For many researchers a Digital Author Identifier (DAI), a International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) and/or an ORCID is included. For the researcher it is possible to add an ORCID identifier as well. These unique personal numbers ensure that the right person is always referred to when information is reused or cited. Open Science in Narcis In NARCIS you will find the metadata of many open access publications, that can be accessed and (re)used immediately. All bibliographical details can be exported directly from NARCIS to EndNote, RefWorks and Mendeley. Also, most of the datasets are open access available, and can be downloaded from the archive.
