Es tiempo para la campaña de útiles escola-res de San Felipe, patrocinado por los

Caballeros de Colon. Favor de traer sus úti-les escolares a la caja ubicado a la entrada

que estará hasta el final de Agosto. Los útiles serán distribuido a los niños quienes los ocu-pen en nuestra parroquia. Ayudemos a que

Did you know that the family is the primary catechist in a child’s life? It takes

the whole family, not just one or two people to do it. The same goes for a parish community and especially with our Parish Religious Education program. Would you

please consider being part of making a lifechanging difference in our youth’s lives

as a Catechist? Applications are available at the PCC.

Escuchamos en las Escrituras, “Tal como cada uno ha recibido un don, utilícenlo para servir al prójimo

como buenos administradores da las distintas gracias de Dios. Quien predique, dejen que sean con las

palabras de Dios; quien sirva, dejen que sea con la fortaleza que Dios provee, para que en todas las cosas

Dios pueda ser glorificado a través de Jesucristo (1 Pedro 4:10-11).” Parte de mi trabajo como sacerdote es ayudar

a los laicos discernir sus dones y su vocación para que puedan ser discípulos “intencionales” quienes conocen y siguen a Jesús. Estoy emocionado que tantas personas

están utilizando los dones que han recibido para servil al Señor y construir el Cuerpo de Cristo aquí en el Condado

de Fayette. La partida de Andrés Jesús Soliz es una perdida muy significante para vuestra familia parroquial.

Sin embargo, discípulos “intencionales” se están poniendo de pie para llenar el hueco y mover la parroquia adelante.

Quisiera agradecer sinceramente a los voluntarios Philip Rautine y Ken Monz,

por comprometerse en mantener y desarrollar el componente Tecnológico de vuestra parroquia.

Vuestra parroquia esta feliz en darle la bienvenida a Maribel López al Equipo Pastoral como la Directora de

Educación Religiosa. Su primera reacción podrá ser “¡Ella esta tan joven!” Si, lo es. Maribel también es llena de gozo, inteligente, bilingüe, firme en su fe, y tiene notable

experiencia en catequesis para su edad tan joven. Tengo toda la confianza que ella crecerá en su trabajo, será un buen ejemplo para vuestros niños/jóvenes, y los

ayudara a crecer en su fe. La catequista Lynn Lofton, quien tiene experiencia aquí en la Parroquia de San Felipe, a aceptado ayudarle a ella y a

vuestro programa de ERP durante este tiempo de transición. Jimmy Stockbridge estará regresando para

coordinar el programa de RICA en Ingles (si es que tenemos candidatos y catecúmenos.)

Por favor oren por estos voluntarios y miembros del equipo pastoral para que puedan siempre servir con la

fuerza que Dios les da y glorificar al Señor con sus vidas.

We hear in the Scriptures, “As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good

stewards of God’s varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God;

whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be

glorified through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 4:10-11).” Part of my job as a priest is to help the laity discern

their gifts and their call so that they can be “intentional” disciples that know and follow Jesus. I am thrilled that

so many people are using the gifts they have received to serve the Lord and build up the Body of Christ

here in Fayette County. The departure of Andrés Jesús Soliz is a significant

loss for our parish family. Nevertheless, “intentional” disciples are stepping up to

fill the gap and move the parish forward. I would like to sincerely thank volunteers,

Philip Rautine and Ken Monz, for committing to maintain and develop the

IT component of our parish. Our parish is delighted to welcome Maribel Lopez to the

parish staff as the Director of Religious Education. Your first reaction may be “She is so young!”

Yes, she is. Maribel is also joyful, intelligent, bilingual, strong in her faith, and remarkably experienced in

catechetics for her young age. I have complete confidence that she will grow into her

job, be a good example for our children/youth, and help them grow in their faith.

Seasoned SPACC catechist, Lynn Lofton has agreed to assist her and help our with the PRE program during this time of transition.

Jimmy Stockbridge is returning to coordinate the RCIA program in English (if we have candidates

and catechumens). Please pray for these staff members and volunteers

so that they always serve with the strength provided by God and glorify the Lord by their lives.
