Please follow me … through a presentation of the Zero Energy Space. The mobile (Net) Zero Energy Building presented for the first time in India.
To make a fast and light weight construction possible Fiber Cement Boards are used to create walls and roofing. Finishes can be done in many ways. The Fiber Cement boards include more then 40% fly ash, what makes it to a very green construction material…

Insulation of Walls and Roof is a very important factor to reduce heat gains and cut down on energy consumption.

In conventional buildings, windows and glazed areas are the main sources for heat transfer with the outside. In the case of the Zero Energy Space double and triple glazed UPVC framed windows are used to keep the heat transfer with the outside at a minimum.
100 % fresh air treatment with minimal energy consumption is part of the Zero Energy Space Concept.
Air conditioning accounts for the main source of energy consumption in a building, therefore it is crucial to work with energy efficient appliances. This highly efficient split air conditioning unit is fully powered by solar energy.
Lighting with LED is the most advanced Lighting Technology available. The Zero Energy Space uses maximum 75 W for illumination of the whole space (360 sqft).
The philosophy of the building: minimal energy consumption and fully in depended from the electricity grid is supported by the 1 kW Solar System mounted on the rooftop with charge controller, inverter and battery backup
Conservation of potable water is part of every green building. The bathroom of the Zero Energy Space shows a low-flush dual system for the toilet and low flow fixtures to consume less water and save our environment.
Solar Reflective Coating on the outside of the building helps to lower the surface temperature of the walls and reduces the energy consumption. Low-VOC paints used on the interiors contribute towards a healthy indoor environment.
The green building concept does not stop with less energy and water consumption. To use rapidly renewable resources like bamboo flooring and cane furniture or recycled materials like fly-ash in Fiber Cement Boards is important to save our environment.
