What is work ?

Work is defined as an activity involving mental or physical effort in order to achieve a result .Example :- Farming , Teaching , Construction etc.

Types of work

• Primary Work • Secondary work • Tertiary work • Quaternary work

Primary work

• Primary work can be defined as work related to the earth /natural resources.

• Example :- Farming , Mining , Forestry , cattle rearing etc.

Secondary work

• Secondary work can be defined as work related to manufacturing of finished goods

• Example :- Construction , Engineering , Textile , Steel Plants etc.

Tertiary work

• Tertiary work can be defined as work related to providing services .

• Example :- Entertainment , Tourism , Banking , Schooling etc.

Quaternary work

• Quaternary work can be defined as work related to ICT and Research Development .

• Example :- Research and Development , Blogging , Designing etc.

MEDC’S and LEDC’S

• MEDC’S :- More economically developed countries .• Examples :- USA , UK .

• LEDC’S :- Less economically developed countries .• Examples :- Nigeria, Bangladesh.
