William Blake

William Blake was an English poet, painter, and a printmaker.He was born on November 28th in London, England and did in 1827.William Blake learned how to read and write by his mother because he was homeschooled. By the age of ten he planned to become a painter so his parents sent him to a drawling school. Then soon after when Blake was twelve he started writing poetry. Here are two of his famous poems that I found interesting.

William Blake’s Bio

In William Blake’s poem Love’s Secret he tells a story about pouring his heart out to his love where it soon turned into a disaster. William Blake writes, “I told my love; I told my love; I told her all my heart; Trembling cold in ghastly fears; Ah! She did depart.” He goes on to describe there relationship was ruined when a traveler wisp his love away.

In William Blake’s poem Night he is basically describing what goes on during the night sky. He writes, “The sun descending in the west; The evening star does shine; The birds are silent in their nest; And I must seek mine.” – William Blake. He is describing how calm night time is when the moon comes out and how everything becomes at ease. He explains throughout the poem how nature and human beings react with what is happening. He also explains how he can become at ease and rest with the different aspects going on during the night.
