Why Raise $212 in 2012?

Every Person Can Make a Difference

You’re part of the world’s largest movement to fight cancer: Relay For Life.

We need you to raise at least $212 in 2012. If you can do that, we can save more lives together. We can help more people stay well and get well. And, we’ll find cures more quickly, through things like:

• Another night’s stay at Hope Lodge, where patients going through treatments stay free, near medical facilities. 40,000 patients needed that help last year.

• Part of a research grant, which is finding cures. Something like a test tube looks simple, but it’s crucial. $212 will buy a case of 500 for a promising young researcher.

Why Raise $212 in 2012?

• We funded more than $100 million in research grants this year. But, there are other good ideas that had to wait for more money. Your $212 will help us fund more!

• Look Good … Feel Better matches trained beauty professionals with patients. They get makeovers, top-notch cosmetics and more, thanks to a partnership with the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, and the Professional Beauty Association | National Cosmetology Association. $212 will make sure another volunteer is trained, and another beauty kit makes it to a woman who needs it.

Why Raise $212 in 2012?

• 24/7 access to information and guidance. That’s what our 800-number provided last year to more than 800,000 people. $212 helps the phones remain open and free for dozens of hours to people in need.

• 350 lives. That’s how many more lives we’re saving every day, than we were in 1992. We believe that number can be 1,000, with your help. If we can get every Relayer to raise at least $212 in 2012, we can accelerate this progress significantly.

These are just a few of the ways the American Cancer Society is saving lives. Won’t you help us do even more? $212 in 2012 will make sure we’re creating a world with less cancer and even more birthdays!
