Product description VEGAFLOOR® belongs to the new generation of environmentally friendly, water-based products. Quick drying and odourless, it is a single pack waterborne polyurethane resin finish that offers excellent resistance to both mechanical and chemical abrasion. Giving long lasting protection to all wooden flooring subject to normal to heavy traffic use it is ideal for staircases, dining rooms, lounges, and other similar rooms. Being water resistant, VEGAFLOOR® is the perfect solution for areas of high water content such as bathrooms and kitchens. Beautifying and maintaining the woods natural appearance, VEGAFLOOR® can be applied to all types of wood including exotic hardwoods.

Surface preparation General directions:Surfacesmustbedry,clean,freeofdirt,greaseandothersurfacecontaminationincludingpreviouscoatings.VEGAFLOOR® can only be applied to bare wood surfaces or wood surfaces previously finished with VEGAFLOOR® or a solvent orwaterbornefloorvarnishingoodcondition.ALLotherfinishesMuSTbecompletelyandthoroughlyremoved.Alwayscleanmeticulouslywithavacuumcleaneraftereachsanding,includinganydusttraps(skirting,radiators,pipes,windowsills,etc).Sandwoodenfloorusingappropriatesystemandabrasivegrades,dependingonconditionofsurfaceandwoodspecies.Cracksof2mmwideorlessshouldbefilledwithLIANFLOOR®*andsandingresumedwith80or100gritpaperdependingon the last grit used.FinishwithfinishinggradeuptogritNo.120or150dependingonthewoodspeciesandthicknessofwearlayer.IfrequiredtreatneworoldbarewoodwithTMu84*toprotectagainstfungalattackandbluestain.PrimeallbarewoodsurfaceswithPRIMAFLOOR®*.

Application • Facingthelightandstartingoppositethedoorsoastoworktowardsit,applyafirstevenandgenerouscoatofVEGAFLOOR®. Always maintain a wet edge to avoid overlaps.

• Startwithabrushattheedges,thendotheremainingsurfacewitharoller,workinginareasof2mby2m.• Do3criss-crosspassesinoneapplication.• Allowtodryfor4hoursdependingontheambientconditions.• Sandfloor(gritNo.150to180)todullthesurfaceandaidadhesionofthe2ndcoat.• Apply2ndcoatofVEGAFLOOR®.Donotleavemorethan12hoursbetweenapplicationofthe1stand2ndcoat.Tip: To increase VEGAFLOOR®’s performance it may be reinforced with the hardener DuRCISSEuRuFL*. -Add10%DuRCISSEuRuFL*tothe2ndcoatofVEGAFLOOR®. -Carefullymixthetwoproducts,foraminimumof2minutes. -Leavetostandfor5minutes. - Use mixed product within 4 hours.

Recommendations after application

Cleaning and maintenance
