9 This is particularly true when it comes to sex-ual matters. Parents, are you embarrassed to dis-cuss sex with your children? Even if you are, makethe effort to do so, for your young ones will surelylearn about the subject from someone. If they do notlearn from you, who knows what distorted informa-tion they will get? In the Bible, Jehovah does notshy away from matters of a sexual nature, and nei-ther should parents.—Proverbs 4:1-4; 5:1-21.

10 Thankfully, the Bible contains clear guidancein the area of sexual conduct, and the WatchtowerSociety has published much helpful informationshowing that this guidance still applies in the mod-ern world. Why not make use of this help? For ex-ample, why not review with your son or daughter ap-propriate chapters in Volumes 1 and 2 of QuestionsYoung People Ask—Answers That Work? You may bepleasantly surprised at the results.

The apostle Paulreferred to it when he wrote: “Go on bringing [yourchildren] up in the discipline and mental-regulatingof Jehovah.” (Ephesians 6:4) Children need to keeplearning about Jehovah. In particular, they need tolearn to love him, and they should want to servehim. Here, too, much can be taught by example. Ifadolescents see that their parents love God ‘withtheir whole heart and with their whole soul andwith their whole mind’ and that this produces goodfruits in their parents’ lives, they may well be influ-
