What Does the Data Tell Us?The Hard Fact is…

We must and will work diligently in the areas of Math, Science, and Social Studies to make sure all subgroups meet or exceed on state mandated assessment.

In all contents, our SWD are not progressing as well as other subgroups.

What Are We Going To Do About It?

We will work together to create success for all of our students at Oak Hill Middle School by initiating Best Practices and Strategies!!!

Three Strategic Initiatives

Collaboration for all teachers of common taught subjects during their planning times

Remediation/Differentiation by all teachers focusing on our at-risk subgroups

Writing across the curriculum

Collaboration

Teams develop and teach common lessonTeams develop and administer common

assessments which could be tests, projects, papers and/or presentations

Teams analyze common assessments for strengths and weaknesses of teaching and learning

Teams create action plans for re-teaching and build teacher common knowledge

Remediation/Enrichment

Teams will review State Longitudial Data System (SLDS) to determine which students are in need of remediation/enrichment

Teams will analyze student’s work Teams will create plans that focus on at risk

students who are not being successful within each class.

Writing Across the Curriculum

Teachers will create plans that incorporate writing in all content areas

Support will be given throughout the year on how to monitor for content and clarity of subject area

OHMS FUTURE STORY

100% of OHMS students will be involved in a rigorous and viable curriculum
