Repsly 2016 Mobile Worker Global Activity Report

The following data was consolidated from 5,000 field reps using Mobile CRM and Data Collection software in 44 countries over a one year period

Managers of mobile workers have difficulty in quantifying the performance of their team

Without being in the field with their team, it is hard to see if operations are being conducted productively and efficiently.

Our research aims to provide you with a baseline to measure productivity, focus, and overall accountability of a field organization.

We focused on 6 key metrics

1. Number of Visits Per Day

2. Number of Activities Per Visit

3. Minutes Per Visit

4. Minutes Per Activity

5. Productive Time

6. Number of Photos Per Visit

And looked at data across 5 regions around the world

So here is what we found…

An average mobile rep made 7.3visits per day

Cross culturally, Latin America had the most number of days

with an average of 9.6 visits per day

Which is 78% more than African reps who make 5.4

visits per day

However, Latin American reps report 25% less working time

than Africa

which is 3X more than Asian reps

We also looked at the ratio of time spent on site and total time spent

working

Productive Time refers to the time spent on site with clients selling,

building relationships, etc.

In contrast to non productive time, which refers to time spent on

administrative tasks, traveling time, etc.

Out of an average of 480 minutes worked per day, only 66% of a

mobile worker’s time was “productive”

Asia Pacific reps spent on 89% of their time on site

In comparison to Europe with 43% of time spent on site

Last but not least, we looked into the number of photos taken per

day

Photos are often used as proof of service, documentation, competitor information
