remembranceWe will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[
BIBLE QUOTE - 1 CorinthiansREMEMBRANCE
SUNDAY
The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh
month was the official ending of the First World War. So
Remembrance Sunday is always the Sunday nearest to the 11th
November.
On this day poppies are worn and wreaths of poppies are laid at memorials, as a reminder of
the fields of poppies in northern France where many soldiers were killed in the First World War. On
this day we keep two minutes silence out of respect for the
dead of the two World Wars as well as more recent conflicts in
Iraq and Afghanistan.
“There is no greater love than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends”John 15:13
This is the time of year for remembering:• All the people known as Saints.• All the people we know who have died. November is the month of “All Souls”
• The people who have lost their lives in the two World Wars as well as those wars we hear about everyday in the news.

Peace is not the absence of war. It is people becoming different.
(Mother Theresa)r
Lord,
remember not only the men and women of g!d wi" but
also those of evil wi". But do not remember a" the
su#ering they have inflicted upon us; remember
the fruits we have borne thanks to this su#ering-
Our comradeship, our loyalty, our humility, our
courage, our generosity, the greatne$ of heart
which has grown out of a" this;and when they come
to judgement, let a" the fruits that we have borne
be their forgivene$.
An eye for an eye and soon the whole world will be blind.(Mahatma Ghandi)
Take some time this week, to remember all those who have given their lives to bring a chance of peace in our world.Think about how you can bring peace into our world?
This prayer was found scri%led on a piece
of paper near the body of a dead child at
Ravensbruck concentration camp.
