Question 4 Evaluation

By Jordan Potsig-Simpson

Blogger

• I have used blogger to document the production of my documentary as well as file the research I conducted to ensure I followed the relevant conventions of my documentary. I have also kept a reflective diary throughout the process, so that I could then reflect on my decisions, so then I could evaluate what I could have done better, and what I have done right.

Movie Maker

• Movie maker has been a useful tool, as it allowed me to make a detailed visual analyse of documentaries. I used screenshots of these documentaries.

PowerPoint

• PowerPoint was used to analyse professional documentaries, and we also used Prezi (Which is an online PowerPoint program) as alternative

Photoshop

• I have used Photoshop to create my documentary print adverts, and to also edit and create name tags and title cards for my documentary.

Slide Share

• Slide share was then used to upload these documents to the internet, so that we could then embed the code to our blogger address

Adobe Premier

• Adobe premiere has been the main program used during the editing of the documentary. We used such tools in the program as… cropping videos, importing videos, and using effects like visual fade outs, and audio fade out, and also fade ins

Zoom Recorder

• The Zoom recorder was used to record our radio advert, and we used audacity to edit this, including adding the vox pops audio and the documentary soundtrack, which we then converted into an mp3 file, so that we could then edit into our documentary of adobe premier

Blue Screen

• The blue screen was also used to allow us to create a super imposition during the editing of this on adobe premiere. We got the image for this ourselves, using a digital SLR camera

SLR Camera

• As well as using the SLR camera for this, it was used to take pictures for our print advert

Video Camera

• And of course we also used a video camera (Sony AVCHD) to record our documentary.
