Numbers Count transforms mathematics for the lowest achieving children AND raises standards for all children.

Talk 4 Number - TA-led
Talk 4 Number develops mathematical language and thinking.
Talk 4 Number helps pupils to talk confidently about number, builds mathematical language, understand-ing and enjoyment. Develops a wide range of mathe-matical talk – explaining, instructing and presenting. Develops speaking and listening skills in number con-texts, strengthens reflection and metacognition. Ex-tends teaching assistants’ subject knowledge and ex-pertise and supports mathematical talk throughout the school.
Who is it for? Pupils mainly in Year 3 and Year 4 who need support and encouragement: to use and understanding math-ematical language or to talk fluently about their mathematics and pupils in Year 3 or above who are in the later stages of learning English as an Additional Language. Cost: £600 per TA
