Our faculty membersin the area ofMarketing, Dr. DeepaUnnithan and Mr.Girish S. Pathypresented a researchbased case study titled- "Masstige Positioning: The Oneplus way forApple Amaze owners?"in NICOM 2020(Nirma InternationalConference onManagement) at Nirma University, Ahmedabad.

The case study was published as a book chapterin the book titled - "Customer, Competition andMarketing Strategy" (Excel Publishers)

A workshop was organized on 'CommoditiesMarket', in association with the Hindu Business LineThe MBA students got an opportunity to learn theconcept of commodity markets in a practicalmanner. Shrikant Koundinya, Asst Vice-President -Training and Education, MCX, led the workshop asResource Person. He pointed out that commoditymarket has been set up for hedgers, who try tominimise price risk and the exchange guaranteescontract. Theworkshop focused onpractical learningwith livedemonstration ofcommodity market.

The students of 2018-20 batch had a day ofexceptional learning on Entrepreneurship at

Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). The officials explainedto them in detail about the mission of the organizationand its activities for entrepreneurial development inthe state. They interacted with Entrepreneurs andaccelerators who shared experiences and insights onbusiness formation. In the Fablab, students wereexposed to the digital art of fabrication being usedfor creation and prototyping.

Christmas and new year were gala celebrations inthe campus with students enjoying a lot of fun

and frolic.

CAMPUS CELEBRATIONS

A special training programme on corporatereadiness was conducted for the 2nd year MBA

students who would be soon joining the corporateworld. Mr. Aravind Warrier, Sr. Manager-Rapid Value,who is also an alumnus of the institution handledthe session which was an early orientation oncorporate conduct and professionalism.

TRAINING ON CORPORATE READINESS

Our college has entered into an MoU with GST Centerfor knowledge sharing and support. The institute hasthus become an authorized GST partner.

MoU WITH GST CENTERThe first-year MBA studentsof Bhavan's Royal Instituteof Management had anindustrial visit to the Athanidivision of KAMCO Ltd., on11th December 2019. SmithaRajappan and AswathyMohan, Asst. Professors,Bhavan's B-School,accompanied the students to the plant. The Athanidivision is mainly concerned with assembly of partsinto products such as power tillers. After the factoryvisit, the faculty and students had an interactivesession with the HR manager, Mr. Vijayakumar, whoexplained the administrative functions of thecompany.

was a colorful platform and aculmination of a weeklongshowcase of artistic talents ofour students.

Three of our students, Mr. Jijo, Ms. SreelakshmiUdayan and Ms. Suthimol T. C. received awardsfrom Sri. Jacob Thomas, Executive Director,Malayala Manorama, for being recognized as thebest performers for their performance in theinternship program with Malayala Manorama.

ACHIEVEMENTScomprised Arjun Suresh, Akhil Venkatesh S.,Harsha K. Babu and Athira Gopi. HR Teamcomprised Sree Lakshmi V. , Naveen Dev, LakshmiSadanandan and Ajith Jose.

Our students Ms. AiswaryaPrakash and Mr. Avinash C. V.,presented a paper titled"Academic Exposure andrelative aspirations amongMBA students" during theNational Seminar onEntrepreneurship at CAMS,Trivandrum.

Bhavan's Team emerged asthe winners in both Marketinggame and HR game in Lakshya2019 - Management Fest organised by MarianAcademy of Management. Marketing Team

Our team secured the second prize in theMarketing event during the National Festorganised by Marthoma School of Managementand Technology. The team members were Riya,Vipanjika, Jose and Mathews.

SPIRITUAL DISCOURSE

Swami BodhanandhaSaraswathi, an Indian

spiritual leader and teacherof meditation, Yoga andVedanta and the Founder,Chairman of Sambodhfoundation in India spoke tothe students on Leadership Excellence and Power ofSoftskills. His session was extremely enriching andinteractive and encouraged management students tocontemplate contradictory challenges around us- toeradicate poverty, illiteracy and illness; to developinfrastructure; and to create an entrepreneurial mind set.
