Why AM I DOING THIS???

I created this course because I have so many business owners and ministry leader that are lost when it comes to social media and online marketing. Usually the first thing people think of when they here of social media is Facebook, so I thought it would be a great idea to start here.I believe that when you see a problem one shouldn’t complain about it but instead do something about it.This course is for anyone who wants to utilize Facebook in a better sense for their business or ministry. I decided to focus on these two groups because I can feel the pain points of these two groups the most. Being part of a youth ministry at my church, and being a business owner as well I can understand and relate with the challenges of marketing to your audience with limited resources. I created this course so that you can feel confident and learn the skills necessary to bring awareness to your product or service and make an impact in your community!

Why I Created this Course There are so many business owners, nonprofit organizations, causes, and ministries that I want to help but since I can’t be everywhere at once and have to make sure I have time for my family and loved ones, I decided to create this course so you can always have this resource at your disposal. You can ask me any questions you want as well, and I will be putting together videos and resources to answers those questions. This course will have continuous updates and developments as things change. Also if you need further help and feel overwhelmed by the whole process me and my team are willing to discuss our services that may be of benefit to you. Lastly I truly want you to learn so please do not continue onto another segment of videos until you have IMPLEMENTED what was taught. Even Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerburg said, Done is better than Perfect! So you don’t have to get it perfect you just need to commit yourself to take ACTION. I am here to help you on this journey to mastering Facebook for your Business or Ministry so lets DIVE IN!

Step 1:Building a Facebook Page

Where do I start???

Choose a Classificationhttps://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php Once there, choose from one of the following six classifications:- Local business or place- Artist, band, or public figure- Company, organization, or institution- Entertainment- Brand or product- Cause of community

Step 2:Building a Facebook Page

2) Complete Basic InformationUpload PhotoFacebook will now prompt you to upload the main photo for your page. This photo will appear as your icon every time you comment on a post or appear in news feeds. Ideally, it should be your company logo. The actual dimensions of your profile picture is 180X180. This will shrink on your page to appear as 125X125.

About SectionNext, you need to write your 'About' information. This small blurb will serve as the main 2-3 sentence description for your company. It will be on your main page, so make it descriptive but succinct. Be sure to include a link to your company website as well. Also ensure that this information differentiates your brand, making your page even more appealing to potential followers.

Step 3b:Building a Facebook Page

Profile Setup STEP 3

Step 3a:Building a Facebook Page Edit Your Page

The 'Edit Page' option in the upper right provides various options. The first option, 'Update Info,' allows you to update the basic information you provided earlier. This will also allow you to enter a description, which is an extended version of the 'About' information you entered earlier.

You can also manage the roles of your page administrators. This allows you to invite various employees from your business to be administrators on your Facebook page in order to respond to comments or messages

Often, marketers get so excited they started a Facebook page that they invite users right away. But challenge yourself to think about a more strategic method for inviting users. First, you want your page filled with content. Then invite your brand advocates to start engaging with that content.

An easy way to do a quick giveaway is to create an incentivized post. It can be a picture, a “caption this” type post, a question, a discussion question or anything that stirs up engagement. Notice in the post we use wording that suggest a fan “may” win a prize. Due to Facebook rules we don’t directly ask for people to post to win a prize.

2. Posting with an incentivized one time giveaways
