2. Smartphone & Tablet Application Design
2.1. Application Definition
The product will initially be offered in a single smartphone
app with an accompanying hardware device.
2.1.1. Launch Stages
The first stage of the product launch will be for productivity
usage.
At a later stage, functionality will be added to accommodate
large scale enterprise applications, and will include an administrative control panel.
2.1.2. Application Design
The Application Design (see Design Language Document v1.5) has four objectives:
• Improve group communications through the first designed coordination of audio, visual and
tactile indicators of activity and state.
• Eliminate the use of knobs, visible numbers and physical raised buttons of any kind.
• Enlighten the subscriber with consistent interaction protocols and user experiences across
audio, visual, and text media formats.
• Leverage the native features of Android and iOS devices to enhance the UX.
The on-screen interface must avoid text entry as much as possible, and use simple touch/swiping
as the main mode of interaction.

A user may discover OnBeep through any of the following channels:
