Our bodies are made of lots of parts – a little bit like a bicycle!
These two bikes are very similar, but there are a few differences. Can you spot them?
We are very similar, but every one of us is unique. What makes you different from the
person sitting next to you?
Our bodies are made of lots of tiny parts – we call them GENES.
Do you look like your family?
That’s because parents share their genes with their children! Do you look more like your mum or dad?
What would happen if the bike was missing
a part?
Just like the bike, when parts are missing or different, it can make it hard for our bodies to
work the way they should.
Ella’s Story...
When Ella Furney was just three years old, she was diagnosed with a tumour in her liver. Ella has had to spend more than 40 hours in hospital having operations.
The people at CMRI are trying to fix the things that can go wrong in our bodies,
like what went wrong with Ella.
You can help kids like Ella. Your donation makes a BIG difference!
Thanks for supporting Jeans for Genes Day!!
