on Canvas LMS

Open Badge Factory LTI Integration

Prerequisites

● Before registering your LTI-credentials you need an account on openbadgefactory.com

● To set up the LTI connection, you also need administration privileges on you Canvas LMS -system

1. Go to:https://openbadgefactory.com/ltiapp/manage/consumers/register

2. Open https://openbadgefactory.com/in another tab, to retrieve your API key

4. Select & copy

Paste the API key here

Click here to startthe guided setup process

Select yourLMS type(canvas)

Proceed to the next step

Follow theseinstructions and

open your Canvas LMS

in another tab.(more on the

next slide)

Select Site Admin

Copy the URI from the instructions.

Values on your Canvas LMS

Developer Key,which was created

on the previous slide.

Setup is done on the LTI App's end.

On your Canvas LMS,you still have to add

this LTI App to your courses.Follow the instructions.(Canvas steps shown

on the next slide.)

2. Go to Side Admin,if you want to enable

the App on your entire site.Or select a course, if you want

the App on a single course.

Copy values fromthe instructions

Use ”By URL”

Save. ”Open Badges”will appear on course navigation

Open Badgeswill appear on

course navigation.
