LED Data Overview

• Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Program is a partnership of the U.S. Census Bureau and participating states

• Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWIs) are produced by Census using UI Wage Record data and QCEW (formerly ES-202) data received from states

• QWI data is sent back to states for their use; some data appear on the LED website

• LED/QWI data:– Are local (county, workforce area, metropolitan area)– Are industry based– Have demographic detail for gender and age groups

Current Activity

• Recently completed meetings with staff of all five state LMI offices and ten local partners

• Moving from general product sample review to refinement of data to meet local needs

• Currently working on specific data requests for all local partners, in conjunction with state LMI offices

• Evaluating how MEETS has been able to provide customized responses to a variety of data requests from a diverse group of workforce areas
