serves as Chairman

World Plumbing Day

2 December 2011 27

Presenter
Presentation Notes
One method in promoting the important work of the plumbing industry is the celebration of World Plumbing Day. Current WPC Chairman Robert Burgon initiated this Day in 2010 and it has been successfully celebrated on a global scale both in 2010 and 2011. The WPC developed a slide presentation for elementary school children teaching them the importance of plumbing. Additionally, they are holding a poster contest for kids in elementary school, awarding money to the top winners and their schools. This has been a great success in that the general public has found interest in the plumbing industry.

• IAPMO strongly believes in the WPC’s mission.

• IAPMO and WPC have worked closely together since the late 1990’s.

• Work together in educating a global audience on the importance of sound plumbing

• Encourage PSSE become member of WPC
