Business Purpose: IT Opportunities Identified by Kaizen
Workshop
• A reduction in data entry time by (target) 50% from 7-8 minutes
to 4 minutes ,could translate into a direct increase in number of
work orders per day per biller from 60 work order call closures to
about 120 work order call closures.
• The simplification of procedure also leads to less number of
mistakes during data entry, and therefore could potentially lower
the impact of subsequent credit corrections.
• Biller reps review the Service Order in CRM and Trigger the
Billing Process • 10 header level tabs and another 11 line item
tabs to navigate through. • User was making numerous mistakes and
omissions. • Complexity was causing inefficiency. • Benefits
– Current Cost :Billing Related Payroll Expense (as of
