represents the growth in mobility requirements expected by 2030.
Increasingly dense citiesIncreasing numbers of people live in cities. This phenomenon leads to a high demand for mobility solutions that are both efficient and clean. Mass transit systems provide the solution to the problem, the complexity of which the Group has long since mastered. In Île-de-France, RATP operates one of the world’s densest urban networks, with 14 metro lines (including 2 fully-automated lines and there will soon be a 3rd), 2 of Europe’s busiest suburban rail lines (RER suburban lines A and B, operated jointly with SNCF), 8 busy tram lines and 350 bus lines. As a pioneer of the energy transition, it continuously reinvents these long-standing modes of transport to adapt them to the requirements of today’s cities.
New solutionsAs a multimodal operator, we possess the know-how required to develop a mix adapted to the local specificities of each region, in terms of schedules, traffic or the passengers on the 8 modes of public transport we operate. In partnership with leading start-ups, we are expanding our service offer with new forms of mobility, to bring communities autonomous shuttles, self-service electric scooter services, carpooling and car sharing solutions.
An inclusive, supportive urban spaceAs a committed player, we help communities address their socio-economic challenges. We work with them on urban densification, transforming our industrial sites in the city centre, as well as the circular economy and the return to work of those who have had long-term unemployment. The Group is a long-term partner of cities and associations that act on social issues, such as access to employment and culture, and fight against severe exclusion.
From mass transit to tailor-made solutions, it is innovating to shape better citiesThe mobilisation of RATP Group, its teams and its expertise enables the Group to deliver seamless journeys, carry millions of passengers every day, make its services accessible and redevelop territories.
Between 2010 and 2050, urban mobility needs could be multiplied by

With UP, innovation is reaching for the skies The Group has teamed up with two leading firms, Poma and Eiffage, to launch UP, a pioneering urban cable car solution, the result of a three-year R&D partnership. The cable car easily adapts to densely populated environments and can carry up to 4,500 passengers per hour and per direction.

Paris The T3b tram is going even furtherThe new westbound extension of the T3b tram between Porte de la Chapelle and Porte d’Asnières was commissioned in 2018. It connects major urban development projects in the north and north-west of Paris, serving sectors that are undergoing major transformation.
From Charles de Gaulle airport to the centre of Paris in twenty minutesThe future CDG Express will connect Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and Gare de l’Est in just twenty minutes. French authorities have designated the Hello Paris group, consisting of RATP Dev and Keolis, as the preferred bidder for this direct rail link, which should be used by around 9 million passengers each year.
Île-de-FranceLine 14 is still a pioneerIn 2018, metro line 14 turned 20 years old. As the world’s first high-capacity automated metro line, line 14 will triple in length by 2024, becoming the backbone of the future Grand Paris Express network. It will then be able to carry 1 million passengers per day.
One step closer to Bus2025In March 2018, RATP signed a partnership with Enedis to facilitate the transition to electric power for two thirds of its Île-de-France bus depots. The goal is to enable the recharging of the fleet’s electric vehicles by 2025, as part of the Bus2025 project, which aims to convert all 25 bus depots to electric and biogas power by 2025.
France
AnnemasseMoving towards a Mobility as a Service app that covers all forms of mobilityMobility as a Service is already a reality in Annemasse, where our RATP Dev subsidiary has launched a new version of its mobile app. The app covers complementary modes of transport: public transport, carpooling, taxis and parking spaces in real time. The app also provides customers with e-tickets for the TAC network. Passengers can now find travel information and buy and validate tickets in one app. Future app developments to come in 2019 include adding new modes of transport managed by different operators.

40 metro and railway stations equipped with signage designed for tourists
50times less CO2 emitted by a passenger on an RER train or a tram than by a private car for the same journey
Saudi ArabiaFrom the private sector to public transport Already awarded the contract for the creation, operation and maintenance of the Riyadh bus network, RATP Dev and Saptco have also been chosen by ArRiyadh Development Authority to operate and maintain lines 1 and 2 of the Saudi capital’s future metro network. This iconic project will be the backbone of the public transport system of this metropolis, in a kingdom that wants to move towards sustainable mobility.
International
The United StatesSunLink at the core of the city In 2014, there were no trams in Tucson, Arizona. Four years later, SunLink, operated by RATP Dev, has become a major means of connecting urban areas. Greatly appreciated by the city’s residents and particularly by its students, the tram is now considered an example of successful urban planning.

QatarA greenfield network in DohaIn 2018, Doha, the sprawling and fast-growing capital of Qatar, awarded the contract to operate and maintain its very fi rst rail public transport network to a joint venture, majority-owned by the RATP Dev and Keolis consortium.
AlgeriaThe first tram in SetifIn 2018, SETRAM, an Algerian joint venture made up of RATP Dev, the Transtev Group and EMA, commissioned the fi rst Setif tram line. It’s the sixth Algerian city where RATP Dev operates a network.
The United KingdomLondon goes electric In November 2018, in partnership with the city of London, RATP Dev inaugurated the Shepherd’s Bush electric bus depot. The depot is designed to accommodate Transport for London’s fully-electric buses running on routes C1 and 70.
