Evaluation Question 5

How did you attract/address your audience?

Questionnaire

• My target audience profile provided me with evidence that our film is suitable and attractive to the 19 year old male that did the questionnaire.

• This evidence said that he was interested in both Action and Comedy films and also enjoyed Action/Comedies. He also said he like to see the main conventions in a Action/Comedy like guns, cars, explosions and humour.

Questionnaire

• This is the questionnaire results from my blog and shows the evidence of how his gender, age and occupation influence his response to liking Action/Comedy films

Target Audience Interview

• For our target audience interview we interviewed a middle aged male teacher who liked Action films.

• Here is the web address to the interview:http://media2012-wdeath-h140.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/target-audience-interview.html

Target Audience Interview

• These results say there is even a audience for over 35 years old too which gives the film a even bigger target audience. He said he liked our genre and wanted to see the main conventions of the genre in our film which shows interest in the age group higher than our target audience.

Attracting Audiences

• These results both on the questionnaire and the interview impacted us on how we would attract the audiences in different ways

• These results showed us what the better ways of attracting audiences in and out of the target audiences

Attracting Audiences

• Our comedy aspects brought in the most of the attraction in the film opening as it was the largest of the mainstream audience

• In some parts of our filming and ideas we thought it would be hard to pull off many of the ideas we thought of comedy as we needed a comedic actor to really do well in making it funny

Attracting Audiences

• The comedy was pulled off in which the three characters lightly acted to get the sense of humour that the film needed it pull off the comedy cross genre aspect

• Our aim wasn’t to make it hilarious but to make the film have both light comedy and light action within

Attracting Audiences

• The type of characters that were picked through the film opening were meant to have two sides, action and comedy as the genre is a Action/Comedy

• This makes the film obvious of it’s genre and using the characters words, movement and jesters to enhance the performance of their roles in making it what the genre is

Attracting Audiences

• The music is used to enhance the tense situations and the comedic events throughout the film opening

• This music in the serious parts is more of tense music to grab the audience attention and draw them deeper to what happening

• The music for the comedic is very fast paced rock/bass music to create excitement and thrill for the upcoming comedic parts

Attracting Audiences

• We included a lot of editing techniques that would excite the viewers and audiences to the film

• Freeze shots were used when a event had happened to quickly show what the character is like and behaves in their environment

Attracting Audiences

• The freeze shot of Eugene was used after he gets out of the chair and puts his sunglasses on

• This was done here to show that he has two sides of him, a serious action hero and somewhat a comedic side of him

• This was also to introduce the main character into the setting of the film to show the audience excitement of who and what is to come in the film

Attracting Audiences

• The freeze shot of Clive is shown to the audience during the start of what is meant to be a serious chase to get Eugene

• This shows the audience a serious individual who has control and order in the film

• This shows the audience the action side of the film evermore crossing in with the comedic side

Attracting Audiences

• The freeze shot of Dave is shown to the audience after the dramatic comedic fall in which he slides completely off his feet on to the ground

• This shows the complete side of comedy in which there is no serious action going on with Dave’s character and tells the audience that Clive is the boss over him

Promotion

• We would try to promote our film as much as we could to everyone as the genres are two of the highest mainstream film genre for everyone

• The film should be aimed to be promoted throughout the internet like YouTube and Facebook and in TV adverts, billboards and posters. This will be the best way of getting the film name and what’s it about out to the mainstream audiences of Action and Comedy

Promotion

• These are some of the film posters we made to attract audience throughout advertising:
