FUNDACIÓ ENRIC MIRALLES

Th e fundacio Enric Miralles is an open space in wich the legacy of Enric´s work can continue to inspire new generations of architects to experiment and explore.

It is based on the way of doing and thinking established by Enric and is conceived of as a platform for the promotion of knwoledge.

In addition to housing the archive of Enric Miralles, the foundation will promote programs, workshops, courses, conferences, lectures, and international exchanges.

Th e archive includes all project drawings, sketches, notes, photo-graphs, correspondence and approximately one thousand original models.

Th is archive will give the public insight into Enric´s unique intellec-tual and architectonic design process and will be completely inte-grated into the Fundation´s activities.

´Enric Miralles at Harvard 93´ is the partial recon-struction of the monographic exhibition which was held in the Gund Hall Gallery of Harvard University in 1993.

It expresses some of the principal themes which had been inspiring Enric during the 90s: the process of generating new projects through mapping, overlap-ping and reinterpreting built projects.

His restless work was exhibited through cut out and photo collage in a very simple and delicate way.

Exhibits the work of 12 Harvard students, led by Benedetta Tagliabue in the Spring semester 2012 refl ecting on the Plaza de las Glories in Barce-lona.

Th e headquarters of the Foudantion will hold temporary exhibitions which will deal with dif-ferent themes related to architecture.
