Age of the pupils: 14-18 Used language: English? (I teach Spanish) Duration: 5 weeks School type: upper secondary school (3

foreign languages)

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  This project tends to

engage pupils in getting to know other young people and work with them collaboratively to exchange information about different aspects of their life and culture.

The language used can be either English or both English and Spanish (or other European language) in order to open minds to multiculturality and intercomprehension.

GOALS:

getting to know each other (personal information)

getting to know each other’s way of life (daily routine, school timetable, spare time, hobbies, etc.)

getting to know each other’s cultural aspects (traditions, eating, celebrations, art, society ....)

getting to work collaboratively sharing feelings and opinions

ICT TOOLS:

 blogs wiki image gallery forum social network surveys videos - podcasts chat or videoconference ....

PEDAGOGICAL BASIS:

 task based learning (according to CEFR) cooperative learning pluriliguistic and pluricultural approach self esteem and motivation improving

WORKING METHODS:

 ice breaking activities mixed groups activities (different
