“First of all, I am grateful that I am able to join Leo
Cabinet. I was given chances to hold different
positions in Leo Cabinet. I was once the District
Treasurer and later I am honored to be chosen as
the District President. As such, I have the
opportunities to serve the community and the Leo
clubs in District 308 B2. I am also grateful that I am
able to guide and help the Alpha Leos in achieving
their goals with my own experience. In addition, I
have learnt a lot of lessons throughout my Leo life
such as time management, organising skills,
leadership and more.
My message to everyone out there is to lend a
hand and care for the people which in needs. Most
of us are the lucky ones and we should share what

First and foremost, let me take this opportunity to congratulate the Leo District for completing a successful 5 years and now entering into its 6th year. I must also compliment the Leo Bulletin team
for preparing the bulletin continuously for the past many years. I am most delighted to the request to pen this message to congratulate Immediate Past Leo District President, Leo Loke Wai Yew, for being awarded the prestigious International Leo of the Year, one of
the only 31 recipients of Leos in the whole world, which indeed made of District very proud. IPDP Loke is a very active Leo and I believe he is also very popular among the Leos. He has exhibited good
leadership qualities and was able and willing to work with his fellow members to achieve goals. Isn't it one of the main purposes of setting up Leo District? Providing opportunities for our young
leaders to improve leadership skills? Yes, indeed it is and we have proven that young people when given opportunities can make wonders. Nevertheless, our Leos need get themselves more involved,
or get busy, in order to reap the benefits of being involved, being busy, and finally be a leader. Finally, I wish to remind the Leos, or at least the active Leos that see the benefits of this
organization, that " Leo today, Lions tomorrow".
Best wishes to all of you, Leos, the Lions Leaders of tomorrow. Lion Ooi Chao Syhuan Immediate Past District Governor
