Leisure World Swim School is an award-winning, registered member of Swim Australia and the Australian Swim School Association, as well as being an AUSTSWIM accredited swim centre.

Adults
Leisure World offers an extensive range of adult classes from beginners through to advanced swimmers requiring stroke correction.
Access and inclusion
Individual or group swimming lessons are available for children and adults living with a disability. Speak with one of our Swim School supervisors to discuss placement, as classes are limited. Cost of lessons can be invoiced to third party billers.

Infant aquatic educationParent and child classes 30 minutes, maximum 8 babies per class
Our water familiarisation classes teach safety and survival skills, and are based on early childhood development including mobility, balance, co-ordination, breath control and back floats. Infants progress at their own rate and are never pushed beyond their ability.
Kindygems/Aqua AnticsIndependent classes for 3 – 5 year olds 30 minutes, maximum of 3 – 4 per class
An innovative program developed for a child’s first in-water experience without their parent.
This class is run in shallow water and includes safety and survival skills, social interaction and fun while learning basic swimming and lifesaving skills. Assessments required for new students.
Learn to swim School age 30 minutes, maximum 5 – 8 per class
Progressive classes focus on skill and ability. Qualified staff ensure innovative lessons promoting water safety and survival components.
Life saving and rescue awards30 minutes, maximum 8 per class
Stages 10 to 15 and Stage 16/Bronze Medallion
Swimmers who successfully complete the Learn to Swim program will progress to lifesaving and rescue levels. These levels provide valuable knowledge prior to attempting the Bronze Medallion and focus on skill development, judgement and initiative.
Swimfit – fitness trainingMonday to Friday Minimum Level 6/Elementary 3
Junior advanced: 4pm to 5pm Intermediate/Adults: 5pm to 6.30pm
Free assessments can be arranged. These sessions focus on fun, fitness and stroke correction.
Squiddies 1: 5 – 11 months Squiddies 2: 11 – 18 months Squiddies 3: 18 – 2 years Jellyfish 1: 2 – 2.5 years Jellyfish 2: 2.5 – 3 years Jellyfish 3: 3 – 4 years (transition class)
