How does your media product use , develop or challenge forms and convections of real media products?

I feel that my Music magazine that I have produced would probably be able to go on the shelves and sell as a real magazine because I fell that it has got that look about it that the real music magazines have such as Kerrang , Q and other music magazines. I like how I have got a dark colour background rather than a bright girlie one, because it clearly shows that it’s a girls magazine by the other style of things I have on my front cover, such as my title and the other colours on the page that represent girls.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

music is obviously a big part in some people’s lives', but generally most people do listen to music, so having music magazines is for everyone to have and look at. I thought that having a title such “Music First” gives a great connection to music. I used a variety of colours , and I think they have all worked very well together because these colours all go together very well and produce a good front cover.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I think that my magazine has got a very high profile, this magazine isn't designed to just be in the corner shops and things like that, it is for a higher class market that will enjoy a magazine that is filled with a variety of different music from pop, to R&B, but to this day there isn't a magazine that it totally focused on music in these areas but my magazine does that.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

Looking back at the questionnaire I have done and the results I got it shows that this magazine would be ages for 16- 25 year olds, also it would be for a more female generation because it has got a lot of fashion tips and other things that girls do enjoy in magazines, it would also suit females who shop in shops such as River Island, H&M and Topshop too.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I already know how to the simpler things such as take my photos on a digital camera and then load these onto the computer, also how to use the internet to get information and other things. but what I found hard was the Photoshop part because there was so many different type of tools to use and different styles of doing things, I found this interesting to learn how to make my photos much cleaner and have better quality.

Looking back on your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

I feel that my school magazine isn't as good as my music magazine because id dint put as much time and care into it as I did for my Music magazine, my school one is a lot simpler, with just normal text and not much colour, it hasn’t got much writing on it either, but then again it is for a school magazine and it would only be simple writing on it too, such as things the school is doing during the week etc. I probably would try and make my photo a lot clearer next time and make it look more professional. I feel that my music magazine is a lot better because .
