Executive Summary
This work is an introduction to fashion of Pakistan which has made quite a lot progress in
just a few years. Ten to fifteen years now, this industry was still unknown to actually exist to the
masses. Later with formation of fashion council and educational centers under the enthusiastic
few who wanted to make difference and promulgate this very institution of fashion, did the very
fashion industry took its concrete contour from the old tailor culture that formerly existed. Today
it is one of the most progressing industries in country.
The fashion I industry too, is influenced by external forces be they social, political,
economic, technological or even competitive, which serve as a main driver foe this industry.
Moreover, relation with stakeholders-mainly supplier distributers and customers, and the strength
and width of its competitors also define activates in the business. However, the relative strength
of the impact of these external factors on the industry varies and is computed with analytical
tools like PEST analysis.
Nonetheless, fashion industry assures new arenas of growth and development, new
opportunities for employment. This industry promises a different national projection that is
serene and contemporary.
Introduction
A T-Shirt (T Shirt, tee-shirt, or tee) is a style of shirt. A T-Shirt's defining characteristic is the
T shape made with the body and sleeves. It is normally associated with short sleeves, a round
neck line, and no collar.T-Shirts are typically made of cotton fibers (sometimes others), knitted
together in a jersey stitch that gives a T-Shirt its distinctive soft texture. The majority of modern
T-Shirts have a body that is made from a continuously woven tube, so the torso has no side
seams. This is accomplished with special weaving machines called circular looms, which
produce seamless fabric for tube tops, stockings, and the like. Conventional stitching is used for
the waist band, neck band, sleeves and to close the shoulders. The manufacture of T-Shirts has
become highly automated, and may include fabric cutting by laser or water jet.
History
In the early 1950s several companies based in Miami, Florida, started to decorate T-shirts with
different resort names and various characters. The first company was Tropix Togs, under founder
Sam Kantor, in Miami. They were the original licensee for Walt Disney characters in 1976
including Mickey Mouse and Davy Crockett. Later, companies expanded into the T-shirt
printing business, including Sherry Manufacturing Company, also based in Miami. Sherry,
started in 1948 by its owner Quinton Sandler as a screen print scarf business, evolved into the
largest screen printed resort and licensed apparel companies in the United States.
In the 1960s, the ringer T-shirt appeared and became a staple fashion for youth and rock-n-
rollers. The decade also saw the emergence oftie-dyeing and screen-printing on the basic T-shirt
and the T-shirt became a medium for wearable art, commercial advertising, souvenir messages
and protest art messages. Psychedelic art poster designer Warren Dayton pioneered several
political, protest, and pop-culture art T-shirts featuring images of Cesar Chavez, political
cartoons, and other cultural icons in an article in the Los Angeles Times magazine in late 1969. In
the late 1960s Richard Ellman, Robert Tree, Bill Kelly, and Stanley Mouse set up the Monster
Company in Mill Valley, California, to produce fine art designs expressly for T-shirts. Monster
T-shirts often feature emblems and motifs associated with the Grateful Dead and marijuana
culture Additionally, one of the most popular symbols to emerge from the political turmoil of
1960s were T-shirts bearing the face of Marx istrevolutionary Che Guevara.
Today, many notable and memorable T-shirts produced in the 1970s have become ensconced in
pop culture. Examples include the bright yellow happy face T-shirts, The Rolling Stones tops
with their "tongue and lips" logo, and Milton Glaser's iconic "I ♥ N Y” design. In the mid-1980s,
the white T-shirt became fashionable after the actor Don Johnson wore it with an Armani suit
in Miami Vice. bright yellow happy face T-shirts
Mission
My mission is to offer stylish, great, affordable T-shirts. To
provide customers with fine clothing that does not need any
alteration.

of quality brand name clothing and clothing accessories at an
affordable price. With that I hope to save my customers money
from not alteration their new outfits before and after purchased.
I will expand my business in future and will also start
dealing in Pent. I will increase my market and will capture
bigger market.
Marketing Mix
The marketing mix is a business tool used in marketing and by marketers. The marketing mix
is often crucial when determining a product or brand's offer, and is often associated with the four
P's: price, product, promotion, and place
Product
My product is T-shirts for both boys and girls. T-shirts are widely used all over the globe. In
Pakistan the trend of wearing T-shirt among both gender is at peak. In the season of summer all
are seen mostly in T-shirts because it is lighter stuff that can be used in summer in order to avoid
warmness.
My product has variety and is innovative, it is in sizes and is both male and female. It is also
available in round and V-shape. The young generation has strong liking of T-shirts as it is
affordable and is easy to use and wash.
Pr ice
Price of T-shirts range from Rs 300/- to Rs 2000/- approximate. In a country like Pakistan where
inflation rate is very high people look for cheaper opportunity. The best thing about my product
is that I am buying it at a rate of Rs 150/- per shirt and determine to sell it at Rs 450/- per shirt.I
will have to pay Rs 3000/- to the shopkeeper where I will display my shirts per month.
Place
I have selected my own university that is University of Engineering and technology, Lahore. The
purpose of selecting my own university is that I know the students liking trend and their buying

The best and the difficult part are to market your product. I will make blog, Facebook page, and
will display prints in all departments and cafeteria. My online advertisement will be free of cost
and prints will also be of free cost as I am assigned 400 pages per semester I will use prints from
there.
My best advertisement will be of word of mouth. When students will wear it in hostels and in
university they will be advertising my product for free. I will make customers in every hostel and
will expand my business as per demand.
