Hidden among the vineyards was a pilgrimage route to the neighboringBenedictine monastery, Abbaye de la Sauve Majeure, whose monks tended to the vines forhundreds of years. With nearly 80 acres dedicated to Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and CabernetSauvignon, the history of this site is alive in the gravel and clay dominated soils that contribute tothe complexity of the Château de Fontenille Bordeaux Rouge. Composed of mostly Merlot, thiswine is elegant, harmonious and the perfect value to share with friends.
