Dear parents:
Another year, another after-school season, another opportunity for us to enhance your child’s experience at FASNY, beyond the classroom.
We love to hear from you, come and meet us on February 6 at our Open House or send us feedback and suggestions via email at afterschool@fasny.org.
Best wishes for 2017,
Agnès TounkaraAfter-School Programs Director
The Afterschool Programs mission:
To serve a growing portion of FASNY families where both parents work by offering safe, fun, affordable and flexible childcare solutions before and after the school day but also during the school breaks.
To expand the bilingual experience outside of the classroom, giving our students more opportunities to use the target language doing something they really enjoy. That emotional dimension to language acquisition is sometimes key to getting them on board and helping them see the relevance of the educational project that we, parents, have for them. Yes, model making in French or the cool science club in English can make a difference!
To offer students and now parents (we have adult classes) more social opportunities to know each other, the teachers and interact outside of the classroom in French and in English.
