WHAT WE DOWe empower all community members, from youth to olderadults, and collaborate with community partners toimprove prevention and awareness, while also advocatingfor local and countywide changes in policy, programs, andpractices. We focus on preventing and reducing underagedrinking, prescription drug misuse/abuse, and youthtobacco/vaping use. We work together in committees toplan and act on the ideas of the entire group to implementdifferent initiatives related to substance abuse prevention.

Family Connections went through a completerebranding process over the past year and weare excited that our agency continues to be astrong, recognizable brand in all of New Jersey.Through the rebranding process, ADAPT andeveryone else under the Family Connectionsumbrella has undergone and upgraded to showour lineage and deep connection (no punintended) to our organization. We are excitedto share with you our new logo that was votedon by our membership and displayed at ourJuly General Coalition Meeting. The Incorruptible.Essex Youth Tobacco Action Group(YTAG) Program is for Essex County youth ages 13-18 whoare interested in getting involved in vaping and tobaccoprevention. Teens will create social media campaigns,educate the community, and advocate for policy changes.Youth attend free trips and events and boost their collegeapplications and resumes!
