The mid-engine is just as synonymous with Porsche as the left-hand ignition lock or Stuttgart’s prancing horse heraldic symbol. But where are the roots and, more importantly, what is the future for the mid-engine concept at Porsche? In both series production as well as motor sports? These questions will be discussed by two current Porsche colleagues Hermann-Josef Steinmetz (Product Manager Race Vehicles) and Anthony Hatter (Director of Design Quality, Style Porsche) together with former Porsche development engineer Jürgen Kapfer.
