MARCH REMINDERS
Inclement Weather
If schools in the NLESD close due to bad weather, the Community Centre will also close, cancelling all programs for that day.
Programs held at Eastpoint Elementary
School:
With any program being offered by the Community Centre but held at the school gym, participants are expected to follow these guidelines:
1. All participants must have indoor footwear. If they do not, they will not be permitted to enter the school. (Children who attend the school are NOT PERMITTED to go to their lockers to get their shoes).
2. Participants must use the main entrance to access the gym. The doors to the main entrance will be accessible up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time of the programs.
3. Only registered participants will be permitted to enter the school.
4. If a participant leaves the school before the scheduled ending of a program, they may not re-enter the building.
5. The same Standard of Conduct that is used at the Community Centre will also be used at the school during our programming.
6. All of our programs are drop-in programs. This means that participants can come to our program and leave when they’d like. Participants can also be asked to leave a program due to certain circumstances (ie bullying, fighting, disrespectful to staff / others, etc). If a participant is asked to leave a program, the participant or staff member will call the participant’s parent / guardian. They will be required to wait outside by the main entrance of the school (supervision will not be available). If you would like to arrange something more suitable for your childs age, please contact us at 579-4534. It would be the parent / guardian responsibility to ensure their child is picked up or alternate arrangements are made.
7. If we are unable to reach you at the phone number that we were given upon registration, your child will not be able to attend programs until a proper number is specified.
