From Mrs. Wells - All students will be review-
ing graduation plans, beginning with Sen-
iors. Please look for a copy of your student's
plan in the near future - it will need to be
signed and returned for me to keep on file. Al-
so, any student wanting to take the PSAT will
need to sign up in the office and bring a pay-
ment of $15.00. This test is most important
for Juniors since it makes them eligible for
the National Merit Scholarship Program if
their score qualifies. However, any 9th or
10th graded who would like to take the test
for practice may sign up as well. The PSAT
test will be administered here at Tolar HS on
Wednesday, October 19th.

Algebra -- Equation solving has been going very well. This week we will move into multi-step equation solv-
ing and equations with variables on both sides. We will end the week by applying these equation solving
techniques to problems involving perimeter -- NO quiz or test this week!
Advanced Geometry -- We will be studying angles this week. We will learn the different types of angles and
angle pairs, find missing measures of angles, set up and solve equations based on the angle addition postu-
late as well as angles that are complementary or supplementary -- NO quiz or test this week

Biology will discuss the properties of water and then investigate these properties in a water lab. They will have a test over the scientific
method, safety rules and the properties of water on Friday.
Human A&P will continue reviewing basic biology. They will have a cell organelle project. They will also investigate the unique proper-
ties of the cell membrane.
Chemistry will use dimensional analysis to make metric conversions. They will have a test Friday over reading and naming lab equip-
