Explained by Justin Baisden
Voting is a right that we have guaranteed by the US constitution. We should feel honored to have the right to select our members of government because many countries aren’t so lucky. All too often this is taken for granted.
The first step in voting is getting registered
People come to your high school your senior year and register you
If not registered at that time it can be done at any local court house
LOCAL (CITY, STATE, AND COUNTY)
FEDERAL (U.S. GOVERNMENT
Mayor Sherrif Governor House of
Representatives Senate County Clerk Etc.
President Vice Presidnt Senate House of
Representatives
The first election is the primary in which we nominate candidates from our party.
The second election we vote for what we think is the best candidate overall
In most cases the candidate with the most votes wins their selected offices
This is not the case for Presidency, each state has a certain number of electoral votes and the person with the most electoral votes in the end wins.
