2. Introduction
- Mr. JRD TATA is know as the Father of Indian Civil
Aviation.
- On 8th March 1948,AIR INDIA INTERNATIONAL was
incorporated.
- 15th June 1953 two Corporations- AIR INDIA INTERNATIONAL
LIMITED & INDIAN AIRLINES CORPORATION came into formal
existence.
- 1st Aug 1953 the AIR CORPORATION ACT was passed by the
parliament, whereby all airlines in INDIA were nationalized.
3.
- Explain how the following key factors have effected the
development of the Aviation Industry.
- Increased Number of domestic Airlines.
- Indias improving economy.
Unit 4. Task-2 4. A low cost airline is an airline that offers
generally low fares in exchange for eliminating many traditional
passengers services. The term originated within the airline
industry referring to airlines with a lower operating cost
structure than their competitors. Low-cost carriers pose a serious
threat to traditional "full service" airlines, since the high cost
structure of full-service carriers prevents them from competing
effectively on price - the most important factor among most
consumers when selecting a carrier.Low-Cost Airlines 5. Air-India

- High profit to aviation industry as it is attracting the common
man to fulfill his wish of flying.
- Cost effective, employment generation & takes less time to
travel.
- Increase in number of flights.
- Major chaos at ticketing counter
- Increase in share market and hence more investment in aviation
industry.
7.
- Domestic airlines are helping the aviation industry to grow.
The regional are spreading into all parts of their countries,
especially those areas which were remote and inaccessible to the
major airlines. While acting as feeders, they cater to that segment
of the population who were benefit of air travel. With increase in
flight operations, the civil aviation sector also benefits (which
is the part of the industry).
- The airports are forced to grow along, with the aviation
population, more maintenance facilities come on stream and more
people find aviation related jobs. These domestics, feed the
international airlines with more passengers helping them to
progress as well, with increasing payloads.
- Some domestic Airlines are- Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines,
Spice Jet, Indigo Airlines, Go Airways, Paramount Airlines.

14.
- Flying domestic or international has become much more
convenient and easier.
- Passengers can now reach their destination in lesser time
compare to travelling by road transportation.
- Due to huge competition low cost carriers and full fledged
airlines the air fare has reasonably become affordable.
- Open sky policy has resulted into severe air traffic congestion
over domestic and international airports.
- Due to circling of aircrafts the cabin crews flight limitations
are getting exceeded, and hence leading to fatigue and physical
stress.
- With the on sent of the recession the domestic airlines are
declining towards cost cutting methods, hence reducing the staff
I.e. decline in employment opportunities
15. Indias Improving Economy
- Consumers have capacity to afford air travel.
- Consumers have money to spend on tourism, religious tourism
& business trips, etc.
- Competition amongst the Airlineshas resulted in sharp decline
in air fares.
- Standard of living has increased.
- Due to improving economy & industries, more an more foreign
companies have invested.
- MNCs have also started a new airlines.
- Due to growing AVIATION INDUSTRY, a number of job opportunities
are being applicable for air staff & pilots.
- Infrastructure is improving.
16.
- These factors are interrelated as in
- Increased in number of domestic airlines
Profit to Aviation Industry 17. Indian Aviation industry is one
of the fastest growing aviation industries in the world. India has
454 Airports and airstrips of thee, 16 are designated international
airports. With the liberalization of the Indian aviation sector,
aviation industry in India has undergone a rapid transformation.
From being primarily a government-owned industry, the Indian
Aviation Industry is now dominated by privately owned full-service
airlines and low-cost carriers. Private airlines account for around
75 per share of domestic aviation market. Current Scenario of
Indian Aviation Industry 18. From this task I understood what is
Aviation Industry, how aviation effected Indian Economy and how
what are low cost airlines and how it grow. Conclusion 19.
