Dear members,
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who made the Spring Bazaar such a success. The Bazaar would not have been possible without all of your fantastic donations, as well as the hard work of the volunteers who helped us with baking, pricing, selling, set up and clean up!
Another major thank you to all of the members who came out on June 23rd to our Annual General Meeting. We enjoyed a Brain Health presentation from Perk Activities and introduced our new board slate at this meeting. Our Annual Report is available at Reception for those who were unable to attend.
Summer is here and we have many great programs and events that you can take part in. We also have exciting trips lined up for the summer, including Bowen Island, Harrison Hot Springs, Steveston Village, and Whistler. Pick up a Summer Trips brochure at Reception today!
We are very proud to continue the Curbside Fresh Market collaboration with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and Holy Trinity Anglican Church. The market provides affordable food items to seniors and other community members, addressing food security concerns in the South Granville area.
On Wednesday, July 20th from 11am-3pm we will be hosting a Multicultural BBQ. All are welcome to enjoy this fun summer event that aims to promote cross-cultural connections!
On Thursday, July 28th from 2-5pm, join us as we celebrate Pride Week with the Aging with Pride event. All LGBTQ member and allies are welcome to attend and to join our float at the Vancouver Pride Parade. With love,
