CALL
qCALL is known as computer-assistedlanguage learning. It is a form ofcomputer -based learning.
qCALL originates from CAI that wasinvented in 1960s. The function ofCAI as an aid for teachers.
qCALL has been developed over 30years, and it has been gone throughthree phases;

CALL IN MALAYSIA
qThe CALL policy in Malaysia was formulatedin 1989 which advocated studentsacquiring computer literacy in a curriculumthrough curriculum approach.
qA few projects have been carried out; ComIL( the computer intergrated learningsystem, 1990)

qThe realization of computers in education isnot new.
qAccording to Pembangunan Pendidikan2001-2010,

qIn terms of CALL, the school has beenusing CLE, a courseware developedby an American company since the
year 2000.qThe CLE is installed in the schools lab

CONCLUSION
qTo conclude, computer and internet hasgiven the impact on the developmentof CALL. The government sees that itis important to enhance the learningprocess, in order to attract students,to learn English.
