Student WorkStudent Work
 Student Work File name convention:
[Subject Abbreviation] [(6-digit Student Document Number)].[File extension]
e.g. HIST(123456).zip, HIST(362880).pdf
The Student Document Number is shown in the Mark
Summary Sheet. In fact, it comes from the beginning 6
digits of the identity document of a student. e.g. HKID
No. = K362880(1), the document number is then
‘362880’.
8
If the Student Work for a student contains only one file,
there is no need to perform any zipping procedure. The
system can accept files of any common extensions.
If the Student Work for a student contains more than
one file, the files should be zipped to become a single
file.
The size for each student’s work file should not be
more than 10MB .
9
If the work of any chosen student cannot be located or
involves any irregularities (such as mark penalty being
imposed due to plagiarism or late submission) , please
report to the HKEAA (3628 8089) and
request for a change of student(s) for work submission.
Please generate and fax the Student List and the
Percentile Table to the HKEAA at 3628 8091 for
replacement.
After confirming the arrangement, the HKEAA will fax
an amended version of the Student List to the school.
10
Points to note: If the Student Work is in good order, there is NO need for
the Subject Panel to generate the Student List for SBA Work Submission.
The full mark of Task 2 is 20.
Formal application for individual students to be exempted from part or whole of the SBA should be submitted by the school principal before mark submission.
If a student has changed his/her name and/or document number (e.g. HKID) after S5 SBA mark submission, please remember to update the student’s personal particulars in the SBA software accordingly, i.e. adopting those used during examination registration.
11
Declaring Conflict of InterestDeclaring Conflict of Interest
In entering students’ information, please be reminded to declare if
a particular student is a relative of a teacher who has assessed the
SBA work of this student. The declaration records will be shown in
the Mark Summary Sheet.
Apart from the provision of the declaration records to the HKEAA,
schools leaders are also expected to establish an internal system
for directing teachers to make formal declaration of conflict of
interest at the beginning of the school year in regard to their
personal relationship with the students they teach, and to take
appropriate actions to mitigate the declared conflict, e.g.
redeployment of teachers to avoid their conducting the
assessments for the student(s) concerned, where applicable.
