Layout The margin gives the magazine an

orderly format. It is a simple layout, so you can instantly read the heading and see the main image. The audience can easily figure out the genre of the magazine. This is the magazine’s front page:

Masthead The magazine uses the Arsenal logo. It

is seen in every addition of the magazine, Arsenal is one of the most famous football clubs in the world, so it easily recognizable. The logo and the magazine itself is aiming at football fans.

Arsenal is a famous football club and for their fans they have made a magazine, giving the fans a vivid idea about the club.

Sponsors They have two sponsors, Nike and

Emirates. Nike is a sports brand and emirates is an airline company. The new edition of this magazine has Puma sponsoring it instead of Nike. The plugs/headers of these magazines are in the next slide.

Plugs/headers

Puma is the new sponsor ofArsenal and this magazine was issued on August 2015.

Nike was the old sponsor of Arsenal and this magazine was a year back on march 2014.

Date and Price This is a common convention in all

magazines. The price is conveying that the company doesn’t want the price to standout as it doesn’t appeal the audience. The magazine is £3.50 and it was issued on March 2014. This magazine is aiming at a middle class audience.

Main image and Rosicky’s an Arsenal football player and he is in

the main image. This is a full close up image. They’ve also mentioned in the bottom with a bright red color ‘Game changer’ which tells us he’s plays an important roll in the team and on the bottom left side there’s a quotation of him in white color saying ‘On the pitch, I talk, I shout, I scream because I want to get everyone going’ this shows that how determined he is about the game. Furthermore, on the left side they’ve mentioned ‘WIN’ in bold red and saying ‘Rosicky’s signed shirt!’ making the aud-

audience more excited about the magazine. On the right side they’re add ons telling about Arsene Wenger (manager of Arsenal), John Halls and Robert Pires. Since Rosicky’s a football player, he’s appealing the football fans. Some people may take him as an idol because he’s a star. The main image is in the next slide:

Barcode This is just a common convention on a

magazine, just to know the price of the magazine.

Contents HEADING: the heading is of ‘contents’ with a

tagline of ‘inside this month’. Right next to it they’ve mentioned where to follow

them on Facebook/Twitter and then there’s a picture of Rosicky (Medium shot) with a background of chairs which goes with the Arsenal logo. In the bottom there is Ian Stones sitting on his name with a tagline of ‘Stoney gets shirty’ and next to it says ‘Eye for detail’ with a tagline ‘A central role for the ox’ which is probably about a football player playing in the center. The picture of this side of the contents is on the next slide:

On the other side of the contents they’ve mentioned about an interview of Hector Bellerin with a quote that goes “You always need to take on different things from different coaches” this quote obviously means he’s/was a player of Arsenal. Then there’s a picture of a guy and furthermore there’s a long shot picture of Arsene Wenger and Fabregas posing with a ball, showing that the magazine has something to talk about them. On the right side there’s a content of Junoir Gunners which, I guess is another Arsenal magazine for kids. The picture is on the other slide:

Double page spread In this magazine there are a lot of

double page spread, all of them have the red color in it which shows it is an Arsenal magazine, the double page spread image is on the next slide. Mentioning also this on the bottom of the page they’ve mentioned the page number with ‘Arsenal magazine’.
