Platforms
Supported BrowsersThe current release supports the browsers:
1 Third party extensions are not supported. Some third party extensions create significant performance problems.
2 Adobe Acrobat 7.0 or later is required to view generated PDF files.
3 Reports are not displayed in PDF format when using the Chrome browser.
The Chrome browser was first supported in Infor WFM 6.0. However, attempting to output a report in PDF format resulted in a blank page. This result occurred because Infor WFM 6.0, 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 used IBM Cognos BI 8.4.1 for reporting, which did not support the Chrome browser.
Infor WFM 6.1.2 uses IBM Cognos BI 10.2.1 for reporting, which now has limited support for the Chrome browser. In our testing, the latest version of Chrome successfully displays a report in PDF format using the built-in Chrome PDF viewer, even though officially, IBM Cognos BI 10.2.1 only supports Chrome version 21 and future fix packs.
A workaround for Infor WFM versions 6.0, 6.0.1, and 6.0.2 disables the built-in PDF viewer in the Chrome browser. With the built-in viewer disabled, the Chrome browser uses the default PDF viewer installed in the system to display the report. For specific instructions, search for 'pdf' in Chrome Help.
For browser support for third party products, see the vendor's documentation.
4 Changing any of the default configuration or registry settings to increase the amount of data that is displayed to the user, may slow the responsiveness of the system. This slower response is especially evident when using Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9 as these browsers have known performance characteristics. For installations that are upgrading and using IE8 or IE9, all configuration and registry settings that affect the amount of data that is displayed, should be reviewed and reset to the default value.

Platforms
Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support Third-party vendors are continually improving their software, and regularly release updates to reflect these improvements. In order to help clients capitalize on these improvements, some platforms listed in the Infor HCM Workforce Management Product’s Platform Support Matrix are marked with a plus sign enclosed in parenthesis [(+)]. This mark indicates that the platforms are eligible for “Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support”.
Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support means that Infor provides contracted support services to platform versions marked with the plus sign (+). This support includes any patches or service packs relating to the updated platforms subsequently released by the applicable vendor. The list of platforms eligible for Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support may be updated from time to time at Infor’s discretion.
Third Party Dependencies
Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support eligibility is based upon each vendor’s stated compatibility of various platforms. Infor cannot resolve issues that:
1 are caused by an incompatibility between the platform and another third party component (for example, a specific version of database may have a known issue with a specific version of the operating system).
2 can only be reproduced on a higher patch or service pack version of a platform component, as the issue is probably the result of a regression in the vendor’s platform component.
Testing and Environment Availability
Infor may not test all patch or service packs and may not have an environment immediately available with the exact patch version following a vendor release of such patch or service pack. As such, an environment may not be available to reproduce a specific reported support service incident. If a platform is eligible for Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support, Infor will take commercially reasonable steps to create an environment as soon as reasonably practicable. Clients are advised that there may be a delay in reproducing such platform-specific issues.
Lower Patch Levels
Infor does not provide support services in reference to patch or service pack versions prior to or lower than those listed above.

4Chapter 4: New Features
Infor Workforce Management Release 6.1.2 offers a number of new features. This chapter describes the new features under the headings:
"Clock Server" on page 24
"Daily Timesheet" on page 24
"Employee Profile Enhancement" on page 25
"Infor Workforce" on page 25
"Installers" on page 26
"Multiview Scheduler" on page 26
"Schedule Optimization (SO)" on page 28
"Workforce Performance" on page 28
Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes | 23
New Features
Clock Server
Multiple Minimum Break Length Definitions
The Clock Server now supports the definition of break lengths with multiple minimums. These definitions are by time code.
Daily Timesheet
Faster loading of work detail records
The initial loading time for the Daily Timesheet has been reduced. The time reduction is due to “on demand” loading of records. The new process only loads a minimum number of records initially. Then at a later time, when a user expands the inline details of a particular day, that day’s work detail records are loaded onto the timesheet.
Reintroduction of Expand/Collapse All control
In addition to expanding and collapsing a single day's details, users can now expand or collapse all the visible days with a single click. This new feature is hidden by default. To display this new feature, the relevant security groups must be enabled.
Note: Using the “expanding all” option loads each day's details one by one. This new loading process leverages the recently developed enhancements to timesheet performance.
Improved Highlighting of Active Timesheet
The timesheet highlighter has been augmented to include the detail area of the day being hovered over.
24 | Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes
New Features
Employee Profile Enhancement
Additional Employee Attributes
The attributes Employment Type, Work Type, and Employee FTE have been added to the employee profile to help further classify employees. These additional attributes are currently used only in Multiview Scheduler and are hidden by default. Clients using the MVS scheduling can now activate these attributes in their configuration.
Infor Workforce
Mobile Site
In addition to the new iPad app, Infor Workforce now supports a mobile site built using HTML5. The mobile site contains a subset of the iPad functionality for this initial release. The subset includes the Timesheet, Time Off Calendar, and Homepage. The Homepage consists of the following panels: My Staff, My Schedule, My Messages, and Clock Status.
Middleware: SSO Enablement
WFM handles all the authentication, which means that SSO is not explicitly supported in the middleware. The middleware uses a basic authentication mechanism with WFM. A client wishing to use SSO is expected to provide a SSO interceptor to ensure that the user is authenticated at both the middleware and WFM. The SSO interceptor adds the required header parameter(s) on the middleware as well as the basic authentication header. Lastly, the middleware copies the configured header parameters from the request side to the middleware’s call with WFM.

New Features
Installers
Install Anywhere 2013
The WFM installers are now upgraded to use the “Install Anywhere 2013” application. This upgrade supports platform changes such as SQL Server 2012. The upgraded installers are:
WFM Installer
WFM Fix Pack Installer
Workforce Performance Installer
Clock Server Installer
Admin Console Installer
Virtual Clock Installer
Multiview Scheduler
Display of Leave Code and Color Coding in Schedule View
The Advanced Schedule View now displays the leave code instead of the shift label name.
The system now displays color on days with a single leave code. The color helps to highlight days with booked off time.
Highlighting of Days with Multiple Activities in Schedule View
The Advanced Schedule View now provides color highlights for days with multiple activities. Days that are partially booked off or booked off with multiple leave types, are also highlighted with color.
Template Shift Generation
Template Scheduling is now able to generate unpublished shifts. These shifts are used make up the difference between the workload coverage provided by Master Rotations and One Time Schedules. The system now only generates enough shifts to provide coverage when coverage cannot be provided by rotational schedules.
26 | Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes
New Features
Schedule Period Selection
The Advanced Schedule View now displays schedules by pre-defined, team-specific schedule periods. Each team can be defined with a schedule period. This period can be used for displaying schedules.
Unstaffed Employees in Schedule View
The Advanced Schedule View now displays all employees of the selected teams including unscheduled staff. Users can now display scheduled or unscheduled staff by applying filters.
Sending Shifts to Relief
Individual unstaffed shifts from the Advanced Schedule View, can now be sent to the Relief Calling Area in the Detail Edit mode. These shifts can now be offered to candidate employees using Relief Management.
Employee Filtering and Sorting
The Advanced Schedule View now provides additional filtering and a two-level sorting capability on the displayed employees. The new employee filters are based on the additional new employee attributes (see "Additional Employee Attributes" on page 25).
Employee FTE in Schedule View
The Advanced Schedule View now displays the FTE value of an employee. The value is displayed to the left of the employee name.
Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes | 27
New Features
Schedule Optimization (SO)
Workload by Day Part
The Workload by Day Part form now gives customers an easy way to build out a workload model based on day parts (time segments) and staff requirements. This new form allows customers to easily update headcount and sales information by day part. The new form includes budget and SPH metrics to guide users when creating the workload. The saved workload can then be used during the schedule optimization process.
Retail KPI Launch Pad Enhancements
The Retail KPI Launchpad now shows Sales Per Hour (SPH) metrics. Columns have been reordered to improve readability, and fields may now be hidden based on security group.
LFSO schedule enhancements
A new sorting and filtering option now allows the daily schedule to be filtered down to employees scheduled only in the selected grouping. The option displays the shifts from earliest to latest start times.
Users can now create unassigned shifts within the weekly and daily schedule views. The unassigned shift can be created for LFSO schedules and for simple schedules created without the optimization process.
Workforce Performance
Load times
The Launch Pad framework now offers improved load times for burst reports. The improved times are due to refactoring. The refactoring included removing unnecessary code and caching the user credentials in Cognos and Workbrain. The caching helps reduce unnecessary authentication.
28 | Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes
New Features
Forecast Wage Cost report
The Forecast Wage Cost report now calculates the schedule costs using a preprocessing task. The report can now be executed directly. No prerequisite steps are needed to generate the data.
Work Summary Report
The Work Summary Report has been enhanced by adding an additional column called Total Unpaid Time. The column information is calculated:
Total Unpaid Time = ([End Time] - [Start Time]) - [Total Paid Time] (where Total Paid Time = [REG] + [OT] + [DT])
Adding the total unpaid time makes the report more informative by providing a clear breakdown of the shift in terms of paid time versus unpaid time.
Balance Summary Report and Balance Detail Report
The Balance Summary Report and Balance Detail Report have been enhanced by adding the Date Selection criteria. The Balance Summary Report can now be executed by selecting a Manual Date, Today or Yesterday. The Balance Detail Report can now be executed by selecting Manual Date, Today, Yesterday, This Week or Previous Week. Adding this parameter to the reports allows you to schedule the reports more effectively via the job scheduler.
Data Collection
WB8000 Volume Control
The WB8000 Clock has been enhanced to allow a system administrator to control the volume of a single WB8000 clock via the settings.conf file. The new setting audio.volume can now be inserted manually or via Admin Console into the settings.conf file and configured to a value from 0 (no volume) to 100 (maximum volume) to set the desired volume. If the audio.volume setting is not present or is deleted from the settings.conf file, then the volume of the clock is internally set to the default value of 50.
WB8000 Time Zone Configuration
The WB8000 clock has been enhanced to allow a system administrator to configure the time zone of a single WB8000 clock via the clock's reader. The clock's time zone configuration is now updated whenever a time zone change is made to the reader and the database update processes executes on
Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes | 29
New Features
the clock. When a clock is connected to the network for the first time, the time zone is updated on the first database update cycle if the clock's time zone is different than the one registered in the reader.
WB8000 Update Process
The WB8000 update process has been enhanced to better handle software updates versus configuration updates. Configuration updates are now contained within fix pack updates. This enhancement streamlines the update process, as only one directory per fix pack must be created. All configuration updates applicable to clocks running a particular fix pack, now have those updates applied via this single fix pack directory.

Product Fixes
Clock interfaces
102928
The class for break length validation should support multiple minimums in the break length definitions.
Outcome
Fixed by enhancing the break length validation to handle break lengths that are time code specific.
103055
The clock’s volume level should be adjustable. The only way to set the volume on the clock is to adjust a command at clock startup. Otherwise, the volume level can only be set from the OS.
Outcome
Fixed by:
1 adding a new parameter called audio.volume to settings.conf for WB8000.
2 setting gain before playing the wave file.
3 setting the volume level to 50 if audio.volume does not exist in settings.conf.
4 disabling the audio if audio.volume is less than or equal to 0.
103117
The clock’s time and time zone should be based on the reader’s time and time zone.
Outcome
Fixed by:
1 adding the OsUtil class for setting the timezone on the clock.
2 using DefaultDBUpdateDatabaseProxy to notify WBCS when a reader is updated.
3 updating the timezone on the main screen through WBCS.
4 adding utilities to create symbolic links and edit the timezone file.
5 reloading the log4j configuration file if the timezone changes.
32 | Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes
Product Fixes
103185
The current file update process causes issues with the internal version number of a fixpack and the version number reported from WFM.
Outcome
Fixed by separating fixpack updates from configuration updates. This approach uses update levels to store the configuration updates separately in the same directory as the fixpack update.
Note: The FullUpdateInfo class was removed by refactoring.
103285
The partial update feature does not push configuration changes that include special characters, to some clocks.
Outcome
Fixed by:
1 insuring that embedded line breaks in the key or value are represented as "\\n”. This check is done during the merge process when a properties file is loaded and converted to a map.
2 using a scanner instead of the buffered reader.readln to read in a file. The use of the scaner insures that the entire line is read in, even when the line contains an embedded "\n". This scan is also done during the merge process when a properties file is loaded for potential modification.
103373
An aggressive heartbeat frequency prevents the clock from working. This issue blocks the running of tasks such as dbupdate.
Outcome
Fixed by changing the code to prevent interruptions when F10 is running. F10 is used for the heartbeat function.
Infor WorkforceNote: The issue numbers displayed in this topic are JIRA issue numbers.

For Shift Swap, requests for the substitute employee's name are not captured correctly. This issue causes the request to fail.
Outcome
Fixed.
1031
To be considered a manager, the manager is required to be an employee on the team that they are managing. This requirement is not correct.
Outcome
Fixed.
1034
Timesheets can fail to load for managers with access to multiple teams.
Outcome
Fixed.
Modules
Modules - Localization - UI Configuration
102835
The text “ss” is getting added as a prefix to the header “Variable Selected” in the registry. The result “ssVariable Selected”, causes an error.
Outcome
Fixed by removing “ss” from the Element Tag.

Multiview Scheduler (MVS)
MVS - General
101990
When Staffing Requirements is accessed from MVS Quick Links, the DBLookups in the job panel do not respond.
Outcome
Fixed by converting from <frameset> to <iframe>. <iframe> is required when the DBLookup is displayed in a popup window. However, the page name is kept as srFrameset.jsp.
102237
In MVS, the publish fails for shifts crossing midnight when on DST. The error occurs for employees assigned through shift patterns and manually in MVS.
Outcome
Fixed by changing in the code to check the override start date and time.
MVS - Advanced Schedule View
101129
In the Advanced Schedule View, skills cannot be saved when added to a published assigned shift. There is also no field label for the Skill field.
Outcome
Fixed.
102341
The Day Part filter in the Advanced Schedule View does not filter shifts according to their associated day parts.

102285
In Relief Calling Area, the shift hover is not showing work and break hours.
Outcome
Fixed.
MVS - Schedule Display
102844
In MVS, the Scheduled Team view and PDF are not using the same time format. The format in the PDF should be the same as in the MVS view.
This issues is caused by the MVS view using SYSTEM_TIME_STANDARD parameter and the Print view using formatTimePeriod. This issue occurs in all 5 views: Job Requirement, Scheduled Team, Employee Team, Day Part, and Scheduled Period.
Outcome
Fixed by using the SYSTEM_TIME_STANDARD parameter for the time displays in all MVS views.

Platform - Alerts & Notifications
102009
The EmpName field is used in the timesheet and clock punch alert tabs. Other tabs use the empFullName field in the notification bar.
This issue is caused by parameters that are out of order. This occurs when creating the EmployeeDto object in the loadUnauthorizedEmployees() method EmployeeService.
Outcome
Fixed by correcting the order of the parameters.
102126
The notification bar schedule is incorrect if WRK is not used as the first timecode of the day.
If the employee's first time code of the day is not WRK, the employee is shown as OFF for today instead of their normal scheduled hours. This issue occurs when:
1 the UAT/UNPAID default labor metrics are used.
2 the late LLEL rule is used to insert the LATE timecode.
Outcome
For the first case, if UAT is in the registry /system/widgetbar/empWidgetOptions/empWorkingTimeCodes, then the employee is displayed in the “Absent or Late” tab. The time code for the day is ABSENT and not OFF.
For the second case, the issue is fixed by adding a condition to the code.

Outcome
Fixed by blocking the addition of team parameters to a query when ALL is selected for Team.
102503
Timesheet is loaded despite exceeding maximum results when date selection is based on a pay period.
In Daily Timesheet, when selecting the date for any pay period, employee history records are restricted to the date period selected. However, when other date types are selected, the employee history records are not restricted by date period. Without this restriction, results can contain multiple records for a single employee. Multiple records lead to a count that is more than the count allowed in registry setting.
Even though the results are correct, there can be cases where too much is data returned and the error message is displayed.
Infor Workforce Management - Release Notes | 55

Outcome
Fixed by changing the class to use balance_id for detecting multiple deductions.
102050
For inline details, tab does not go to the correct fields.
When entering inline work details on the Daily Timesheet, the tab button does not move the cursor to the correct field in IE. However, the correct field is found by the tab button in Firefox.

For more information, see TT96570 and TT98262.
Outcome
Fixed by removing this override type from the TimeSheet's override type edits.
102699

Outcome
Fixed by changing the LateLELL rule to use all the eligible late work details for rule execution.
102023
Graces Rule does not fire for middle shifts when an employee is assigned a split shift.
When an employee is assigned a split shift or multiples shifts in a single day, the graces rule will only fire for the first and last clock punch that day. This functionality appears to be by design, as the graces rule is intended to affect the start and end of the shift for attendence and pay purposes. However, this functionality does not appear to take multiple shifts or split shifts into account.
Outcome
Fixed by changing the Graces Rule in T&A Quick Rules. Now when Eligible Time Codes is blank, the grace period is applied to all the shifts in a day and not just to shifts with WRK Time code.
Time & Attendance - Schedule Compliance
102661
