Gala – It’s More Than a Fundraiser

It’strue,theGalaisthePSO’smajorfundraisingeventthisyear.Infact,itisourhopethatweraisearound$16,000fromtheevent.DidyouknowthatmoniesraisedatpastGalashavebeenusedtopurchasesomeoftheplaygroundequipmentourchildrenenjoydaily?Didyouknowithasbeenusedtoawardgrantsforourteacherstoallowthemtopurchaseeducationalitemsthatdirectlybenefitourchildren,helpingthemlearnandgrow?DidyouknowthatfundsraisedatourGalashelpedtopayfortheActivityBuilding,thesamebuildingwhereourkidseatluncheveryschoolday,attendgymclassandcometogetherasaschoolcommunitytoworship?

Mother/SonEventOurannualMother/SonEventonFriday,October14thwasahugesuccess!Wehadover70excitedStMMboysandtheirspecialladiesdancingthenightaway!Ourphotoboothanddancecontestsalsomadethenightverymemorable.WewereveryluckytohaveTGA,MasterSalimwithProgressiveTaekwondoandPlayWell’sgiantLegotablejoinustomakethenightextraspecial.Ahugethankyoutoallthevolunteerswhoputinmanyhoursmakingthiseventsomuchfunforourchildren.Withoutthefoodcontributionsandourset-upandclean-uphelpers,wewouldnothavebeenabletoaccomplishsuchafunnight.Also,asanaddedbonus,wewereabletodropoffmanyitemstoWesternWakeCrisisMinistry—thankyoutoallthefamilieswhodonated!Congratulationstothemother/sondancecontestwinners,especiallyAmy&Lukewhotookfirstplace!
