Merger is the combination of the assets andliabilities of two firms to form a single
business entity while acquisition tends to beused when a larger firm absorbs a smallerfirm.
The research is conducted in six Malaysian
commercial banks using a questionnaireaddressing the independent variables andtheir relationship to the merger andacquisition.
