Mass Schedule
Please pray for the repose of the soul of ROSEMARY ROBINSON (member of ST. MARY’S). We offer our prayers and sympathy to her family and friends. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in the peace and love of our dear Lord.
ST. MARY’S extends congratulations to Kyle and Emily Van Cleave as their son, Dallas Raphael Van Cleave, received the Sacrament of Baptism on Sunday, January 31, 2021. We welcome Dallas to St. Mary’s Parish and ask God’s blessings upon the Van Cleave family!
God willing, we will never experience the same string of losses that Job
experienced. But sometimes even small trials can send us into self-pity. Talk to God about your frustrations and then listen for His answer. Eventually, Job heard from God and we will also hear from God. We can always come to a
deeper understanding of God’s greatness, but first we must listen to Him.
ABSTINENCE — Everyone 14 years of age and over is bound to abstain from
meat on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays of Lent. FAST — Everyone 18 years of age and under 59 is required to fast on Ash
Wednesday and Good Friday.
On these two days of fast and abstinence, only one full meatless meal is permitted. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength ay be taken according to each person’s needs, but together these two should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted, but liquids (including milk and fruit juices) are allowed.
To disregard completely the law of fast and abstinence is seriously sinful.
“In the spiritual life there are two great principles which should never be forgotten: Without grace we can do nothing; with it we can do all things…” ~ Rev. Dorm Vitalis Lehodey
“Furthermore, let us produce worthy fruits of penance. Let us also love our neighbors as ourselves. Let us have charity and humility. Let us give alms because these cleanse our souls from the stains of sin. Men lose all the material things they leave behind them in this world, but they carry with them the reward of their charity and the alms they give…” ~~ St. Francis of Assisi

FEBRUARY — THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE The foundation of the domestic church is the sacrament of marriage and it is important to reflect often on the mystery and calling of this sacrament.
